OCAN
OCAN — the Orange County Apprenticeship Network — is a regional coalition of community colleges, adult schools, employers, workforce boards, apprenticeship intermediaries, and government partners working together to expand registered apprenticeships across Orange County. SMaRTech is one of the apprenticeship programs connected through OCAN.
SCALE digital credentials
SCALE is a regional digital-credentials platform that maps skills and apprenticeship competencies to verified badges. It helps employers hire on verified skills instead of résumés and lets students show proof of what they have learned. See the SCALE page for the full overview.
Enrollment process
All SMaRTech apprenticeships are tuition-free. Apprentices earn a paycheck while learning through the earn-while-you-learn model.
